During an unexpected trip to Poland near the border of Ukraine, Prince William expressed his gratitude to British soldiers and acknowledged their efforts in protecting the freedom of the country.
Prince William Visits Poland-Here’s What Happened
During his visit to the country, William, while surrounded by heavy security, informed the troops that they have complete support from everyone back home.
He was impressed by the exceptional air defense weapons displayed at a confidential military base where 75 British workers are collaborating with Polish and American forces.
According to sources close to the future King, William’s visit to Rzeszow was a “personal mission” to honor the responsibility of service personnel.
This is understandable since William has done his own time in the military. Therefore, he understood firsthand the obstacles that were there upon the troops.
William, wearing a black puffer jacket, shirt, and navy trousers, spoke to the soldiers. In his comments, he said: “I know how busy you all are.
“Thank you for hosting me today, I just wanted to come here in person to say thank you for all that you are doing, keeping everyone safe out here and keeping an eye on what’s going on.”
In February of last year, when Russia invaded Ukraine, many Poles were outraged and felt compelled to join the military in response.
The prince spoke with two Polish volunteers, a taxi driver and a college student, who shared their experiences of juggling their military service with their regular jobs.
Poland has increased its assistance to Ukraine by declaring that it will dispatch four MiG-29 fighter planes to the country. And given how much Poland was willing to back the nation, the Prince felt he was obliged to pay a visit.
The following comments confirmed as much: “The Prince of Wales was very keen to travel to Poland to thank British and Polish troops for their support in relation to the ongoing conflict in Ukraine.”
Despite this being the case, William received a lot of criticism. This was due to the fact that the firm should not be getting involved in political matters.
One person wrote: “Royals stay out of politics. This war is politics. We have not elected this dysfunctional family to represent us abroad. Stick to cutting ribbons Wills, and same goes for your WEF social-engineering daddy.”
