Melanie Martin, the fiancée of musician Aaron Carter, has spoken out while Aaron’s mother is calling for a police investigation into his death.

On November 5th, 2022, Carter was discovered dead in his residence in California. Although the actual cause of death of the 34-year-old singer has not been established, he was found in the bathtub alongside several compressed air cans and prescription pill bottles, and no water was present in his lungs.
With that being said, Martin made it clear in no uncertain terms that there were still some things that needed clearing up. In her comments, she said: “Many factors discussed with the police and coroner do not add up to [a] simple overdose.
“I want to know what really happened so I can focus on raising our son Prince without constantly losing sleep on what happened to his father every night.”
According to Martin, Carter’s phone was not utilized in the 24 hours leading up to his death, despite his usual attachment to his phone.
Additionally, Martin mentioned that her partner seldom utilized the bathtub and always secured the door for privacy. However, when Carter’s body was discovered, the bathroom door was left unlocked.
Her following comments confirmed as much: “With how long [Aaron] supposedly was in there with our dog Zelda, it doesn’t add up how our dog didn’t use the restroom there.” The response on social media was mixed.
A certain subset of people felt that the only way to get things cleared up was to get the medical confirmation as soon as possible. One person wrote: “He was not murdered.
“They need toxicology stat. He was very ill. The only possibility for murder is fentanyl and if someone gave him drugs hold them accountable.”
